Meet Jeff Haynie
Attorney at Law
Jeff has been practicing law and serving Jacksonville and the surrounding areas since 2004. He opened his own firm in 2018 and is familiar with the challenges faced by small business owners. Jeff considers it his job to support his clients’ work, like a remote team member, and to protect his clients from threats and losses whenever possible.
Jeff devoted the first 13 years of his legal career to Jacksonville Area Legal Aid, Inc. (“JALA”), a non-profit law firm providing free services to clients who cannot afford to pay for legal representation. During his time at JALA, Jeff learned to successfully litigate against corporations and government agencies.
Now in his own, broadened practice, Jeff still aims to serve clients who are not served by big law firms, whether because of those firms’ high fees or exclusive specialties. Jeff’s approach to practicing law is personal. He spends the time necessary to understand his clients and their legal needs, and he works hard to solve problems and obtain results.
Throughout his career, Jeff has volunteered in various roles at his church. He was a “big brother” with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Florida for over 10 years. He currently serves on the Atlantic Beach Community Development Board and the board of directors of BEAM (Beaches Emergency Assistance Ministry, Inc.), and he devotes pro bono time to JALA.
You do not need to share Jeff’s Christian faith in order to work well with him, and while flawed, he hopes his work is an extension of the loving provision and protection he receives from his heavenly Father. When Jeff is not working, he is with family and friends, surfing, playing tennis and otherwise enjoying the Florida sunshine.
